Demers Tapped for Vice President

CDPHP® ANNOUNCES JOHN DEMERS SELECTED
VICE PRESIDENT, ADVERTISING AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS

CDPHP® today announced the appointment of John Demers to vice president of advertising and public affairs. In this position, Demers will provide oversight for all activities in the communications department including advertising, public relations, and community sponsorships.

Demers brings more than 25 years of experience in advertising, graphic arts, and communications. Prior to joining CDPHP, he held several management positions with EmblemHealth, Inc., the merged organization of Group Health, Inc. (GHI) and Health Insurance Plan of Greater New York (HIP), including most recently as vice president of corporate communications. He resides with his wife and children in Delmar.

CDPHP Appoints New Director

CDPHP® NAMES GARY GONZALES
DIRECTOR OF PRACTITIONER AND VENDOR CONTRACTING

CDPHP® today announced the appointment of Gary Gonzales as director of practitioner and vendor contracting. In this position, Gonzales will manage all physician and adjunct provider contracting and continue to enhance and develop provider and vendor relationships.

“Gary brings more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry,” said William J. Cromie, MD, MBA, president and CEO, CDPHP. “His broad knowledge of health plans coupled with an understanding of contracting, provider relations, and network development will enhance our negotiations with primary care physicians, specialists, and other practitioners,” said Cromie.

Prior to joining CDPHP, Gonzales held several management positions including executive director of contract operations at St. Joseph Health System in Anaheim, Calif., and director of provider services at PacifiCare of California in Cypress, Calif. He also served at other health care organizations including Cigna and Partners Health Plans in Arizona.

Gonzales earned a bachelor of arts degree in American Studies from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in business management from the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif.
